First Upload of Video

First Upload of Video

Above is the first upload of my final music video that I used YouTube for viewing. I exported the video as an .avi file and even though this is a common music video file type, I feel that the quality of the video was not what I was looking for ideally, and believed that it could be improved. However, I could not upload the video to vimeo as the file size was too large. This has halted the process of my video, but I am of the opinion that the contingency time that I have set aside is sufficient enough so that I can find a way to solve this issue.

Rough Cut

Rough Cut

So far in the production of my A2 media production of a music video am I up to a minute through my music video. Thus far I am very satisfied with what I have achieved and believe that the overall video is coming along very well. I have had the trouble of colour correcting many shots that were shot during the day in order to make them look as if they are at night. From this, I have learned that the video may take longer than first planned in order to finish as it is troublesome to keep up with the fast paced nature of the video. Although, I am of the opinion that I have set aside enough contingency time in order to rectify any problems and finish on time.

Technical Difficulties

Technical Difficulties

After filming some more of the footage required for the final production of my music video, I have discovered that there are possible technical difficulties that I will have to overcome throughout the production of the video. For example, here you can clearly see that there is a 'blinds' effect across the footage that I have recorded and I believe that this is a result of the camera not being able to find its white balance and therefore resulting in this effect. In order to overcome this issue, I changed the colour of the room and the effect then died down and went away.

Footage in its Raw State

Footage in its Raw Stage

Here is some of the footage taken from my first shoot at one of my locations that I have selected for my music video. From this, you can deter that it is likely that I am going to have to do a fair few corrections in post-production such as colour correction so that the footage is as striking and successful as I would have imagined through the planning process.
